About

I want to capture the world the way I see it — through drawing, painting, and photography.

I'm not someone looking for an excuse to spend money on equipment and talk endlessly about specs. I think high-end gear would be detrimental to this project. This is a different kind of experience than a typical photography site.

I'll use whatever tools and contraptions I deem necessary for my vision: cheap plastic film cameras loaded with Czech black-and-white film, glass from the 1980s, vintage cameras with CCD sensors, SLRs and DSLRs, and modern mirrorless bodies paired with odd lenses. Everything is on the table.

It's safe to say you'll never see me at a photography club sharing pictures of a white-tailed deer shedding a single tear as it samples the bark of a pear tree.

I hope to inspire a different way of seeing the world. There is beauty everywhere — absolutely everywhere.

I enjoy visiting old places where I can still feel the pride and commitment of the people who came before. In those places they remain present in their own way, supporting me as I give them a voice.

I like finding places of tranquility and sharing them.
